Botox & Dysport Medical Aesthetics In Jacksonville, NC
Buglisi Eye Care offers Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. Botox is used in facial rejuvenation to temporarily reduce wrinkles or enhance facial appearance. Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or blocking certain nerves.
Prominent forehead creases, crow’s feet, or brow furrows may be treated effectively with Botox. Effects of injections may be seen as early as a few days and typically lasts 3-4 months. Treatment may be repeated at that time if desired.
Botulinum injections take only a few minutes to perform in the office. Minor irritation, bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection sites are common side effects, which typically resolve within a few hours. Injections in the face may also cause temporary drooping eyelids. You should not use Botox if pregnant or breastfeeding.
